Youth Scholarship Program

Every year, the Huntsville Theatre Company awards a scholarship to a graduating high school student in Muskoka or Almaguin Highlands. Applications for the Scholarship Program open in the late spring of each year.

 An annual scholarship of $500 will be awarded to a graduating high school student in Muskoka or Almaguin Highlands who: 

  1. Will be graduating from a high school in Muskoka or Almaguin Highlands by the end of the school year in which the scholarship is awarded    

  2. Has demonstrated exceptional talent in and commitment to the arts in community theatre productions (cast or crew).

  3. Is pursuing post-secondary education in the arts (any artistic discipline).

  4. High school marks will also be taken into consideration.

HOW DO I APPLY?

Your application must include the following:

  1. Complete application form. (Download the application form)

  2. Recent transcript demonstrating graduation within the applicable year.

  3. Letter of recommendation from either a teacher or an arts mentor.

  4. List of community theatre productions you have participated in and the roles/positions you've had in each.

  5. An impact statement as follows: ​​

    • In 200 to 300 words, please describe the impact that participating in community theatre has had on you and your future aspirations.​

The scholarship winner shall be announced in Fall 2026.
