Youth Scholarship Program

Every year, The Huntsville Theatre Company awards a scholarship to a graduating Huntsville High School student. Applications for the Scholarship Program open in the late spring of each year.

 An annual scholarship of $500 will be awarded to a graduating Huntsville High School student who: 

  1. Will be graduating from Huntsville High School by the end of the school year in which the scholarship is awarded    

  2. Has demonstrated exceptional talent in and commitment to the arts in community theatre productions (cast or crew)

  3. Is pursuing post-secondary education in the arts (any artistic discipline)

  4. High school marks will also be taken into consideration

HOW DO I APPLY?

Your application must include the following:

  1. A complete application form

  2. A recent transcript

  3. A letter of recommendation from either a teacher or an arts mentor

  4. A list of community theatre productions you have participated in and the roles/positions you've had in each

  5. An impact statement

There are two ways to apply:

​

OPTION 1 - Apply online with links to your supporting documents on Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar, for us to download.

​

OPTION 2 - Email us with the info on the registration form and attach your supporting documents.

What do I include in my Impact Statement?

In 200 to 300 words, please describe the impact that participating in community theatre has had on you and your future aspirations.
