How do I register my child(ren) for the program?

You will need to purchase a registration for each participant. Please click the registration button called REGISTER FOR TIMP or go directly to our BUY TICKETS page

Is there a cost to this program?

Yes. There is a $100 registration fee per participant; however, please email us to inquire about bursary options.

The program will start on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 from 4:30-6:30pm and will run every Tuesday at the same time. Wednesday rehearsals from 4:30-6:30pm will be added in mid April.

Passion

The Theatre is My Passion (TIMP) children's program is an after-school program for children and youth between the ages of 8 & 18. The program runs from January to June, finishing with a full production of a play. Led by a dedicated team of volunteers, the children learn about everything that it takes to put on a production—from auditions to backstage etiquette!

Call for Proposals: Director/Program Coordinator
Theatre is My Passion 2027

The Huntsville Theatre Company is now accepting proposals for the Director/Program Coordinator of our 2027 Theatre is My Passion (TIMP) program.

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. Presentation

Please prepare a short presentation about your proposed production to be conducted via Zoom. This can be informal—no PowerPoint or visual aids are required. Tell us about your chosen production, why it is meaningful to you, and why you think it would be a great fit for local youth. Please also include:

Any production team or crew members who would be involved.
Any content considerations or other details you feel are relevant.
A proposed budget, if available. (If you'd like assistance preparing a budget, HTC is happy to help.)

2. Interview

Please be prepared for a short interview with the HTC President and the HTC Producer for TIMP. We will ask about your theatre experience (if any) as well as your experience working with youth.

3. Our Commitment
