Youth Auditioning Workshop - Wednesday Session

Have you ever thought of auditioning for a show? Want a place to practice and start? Or need to hone your current auditioning techniques for upcoming auditions? If you are 18 years and under, then we have the workshop for you!  HTC's Youth Auditioning Workshop will be a two-hour course covering everything from your pre-audition prep to what comes next once you've nailed that audition! 

We'll discuss audition material such as:

• Different types of auditions
• Choosing audition pieces
• Preparing for your auditions
• Audition day breakdown
• Post audition options

Materials such as notebooks and pencils will be provided! Feel free to bring a short 30 second to 1 minute audition monologue or song you'd be interested in using as an audition piece.

Instructor: Lauren Rodrigues

Lauren has had a passion for theatre for as long as she can remember! She has her Bachelor's in Drama from Queen's University and currently works in the film and television industry as a Production Coordinator. She loves doing work both on stage and backstage and is a board member of the Huntsville Theatre Company. She has worked with many arts organizations in Muskoka including Dragonfly Theatre Company, Timberbeast Productions, Huntsville Festival of the Arts and the Monarch Performing Arts Studio.
