About the event
The HTC announces the 2024 Theatre is my Passion Program!
Theatre Is My Passion is an after-school program for children and youth ages 8 to 18. Participants learn what it takes to put on a theatrical performance and perform a full play as the final product. Rehearsals are 1-2 times a week from February to June with performances in June at the Algonquin. This year’s production will be Roald Dahl's The BFG.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Who: The program is open to children and youth between the ages of 8 to 18.
- When: The program will start on Tuesday, February 20 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and will run every Tuesday at the same time. Wednesday rehearsals from 4:00 to 6:00 pm will be added in late May/early June.
- Rehearsals Location: St Andrew's Presbyterian Church
- Registration fee: $100 per participant*
- Show Dates & Location: June 14, 15, and 16 at the Algonquin Theatre. Tech and dress rehearsals will occur during the week of the show.
- Day 1 of the program shall consist of auditions for each of the characters in the show.
