About the event

This fast-paced, side-splitting musical comedy follows an eccentric group of six overachieving spellers as they compete for the prestigious Putnam County spelling title. Along the way, they candidly reveal hilarious, awkward, and sometimes heartfelt stories from their home lives, grapple with the pressure of competition, and face unexpected challenges like the dreaded "ding" of elimination. But don’t worry even the losers get a juice box!

In her directorial debut, Paige Meunier takes you on a fast-paced ride with Spelling Bee, packing it with witty humour, heartfelt moments, and quirky characters you’ll instantly love.

Select audience members will be invited on-stage to join the competition, making every performance completely unique and unpredictably fun. (Don’t worry, we won’t put you up on stage without your permission!)

From the hilarious "My Friend, the Dictionary" to the emotional ballad "The I Love You Song," this show is a perfect blend of comedy and genuine…
