The Huntsville Theatre Company is very happy to announce an exciting season of comedy, drama and music for 2019-2020.
“I am absolutely thrilled to present this season to our patrons,” says Mark Rodrigues, now entering his third year as HTC's Production Manager. “The company has put together a season for everyone. I guarantee every visit to the Huntsville Theatre Company will be a new and exciting experience!"
The HTC Season kicks off with Anne of Green Gables! The Musical, by Don Harron and music by Norman Campbell. A new musical lovingly based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s timeless classic with its unforgettable characters, Anne of Green Gables brings the comical adventures of spunky red-headed orphan Anne Shirley to life, as she wins over her new family and the rest of Prince Edward Island, as well, with her spirit and imagination in this heartwarming story about love, family, and home.
The second show to bring in the new year will be, Perfect Pie by Judith Thompson. In the course of an afternoon's reunion between the long-estranged friends, a buried memory and a wild secret crash into the present. Based on a true story, Perfect Pie is an intimate and emotional drama by acclaimed Canadian playwright Judith Thompson.
Our third show is, Boeing Boeing by Mark Camoletti. It's the 1960s, and swinging bachelor Bernard couldn't be happier: a flat in Paris and three gorgeous stewardesses all engaged to him without knowing about each other. But Bernard's perfect life gets bumpy when his friend Robert comes to stay and a new and speedier Boeing jet throws off all of his careful planning.
Our final show of the season is the acclaimed, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf by Edward Albee. Set on the campus of a small, New England university. It opens with the main characters, George and Martha coming home from a party at her father's house.
